A Prayer for my Husband to Know the Lord

Lord, I pray for my husband. He does not know you, Lord, though I think he would like to. He is addicted to alcohol. It will soon kill him physically if he doesn't stop drinking. It has already done much emotional and spiritual damage. He needs you Lord. I pray that he might cry out to you for help and accept you as his Lord and Savior. Please keep your arms tightly around him. Fill him with the Holy Spirit.

Touch him in a way that cannot be denied or ignored. Lord, I pray that you would heal him of his addiction. Free him of it Lord. Heel his body, mind and spirit from the ravages of alcohol. Make him whole again.

Lord, I pray too, that you would give me the strength, courage and faith to do your will and get through this difficult time. I know you are working miracles in our lives, even at this very moment. Give me the faith and patience to wait on your perfect will and timing.

Thank you Lord for hearing my prayers even before they are uttered. I will wait with joy and expectancy.

In Jesus' name. Amen

It will happen!
by: Anonymous

In 2006, I prayed the same. It happened a little but nothing consistent. Then around 2007 he started spiraling into depression (more). By 2010, more of a believer. Now 2011-a full believer that even brings me thru my occasional doubt. As the saying goes, it's always dark before the light. Sometimes you have to be down in order to get up. It will happen. God bless!
