Friends Become A Wing For Our Prayers

by Sharon Lagueux

A friend is ones who stands by us in times of need

They stay beside us when everyone else leaves

They know when we're happy or feeling a tad sad

Stand by us in both, the good times and bad

Friends are those who become a wing for our prayers

they are never strangers, but as angels unaware

For they love us, pray for us, wiped our tears

Their wings are the feathers that lighten our cares

Friends are ones, in whom we trust and confide

understand our trials struggles and strife’s

They take time for us laying aside their own needs

Through their thoughtful, loving, kind acts and deeds

Nothing surprises a friend, when at times we fall

They understand our failures, never make us feel small

Friends endeavor to encourage us to build our faith

Aid us to rise above them and learn from our mistakes

They don’t need to understand our brooding tears

They know there’s meaning, behind all our cares

They lifted us up through the grace of prayer

And wrap around us their gentle arms of care

Friends share a unique bond, God’s plan above

They're a blessing, an expression of His love

They are never strangers, but as angels unaware

Sent by providence, under His watchful eye of care

Friends are those who become a wing for our prayers

They listen, no matter the burden we share

For they love us, pray for us, wiped our wistful tears

Their wings are the feathers, that lighten our cares.
