I am asking prayer for myself and a friend. My friend is an alcoholic and in denial. She inspires to be a good person. She is wealthy and buys friendships, and then she talks badly about others behind their backs once she does something for them, like give money, treat to dinner, invite out for the evening. It is stressful to be with here. She doesn’t hear when asked not to talk harshly about others, and it is a constant thing with her. I’m struggling because I allow her to bring me home to her house from the hospital to get my strength back and be cared for, now it is agony to listen to negative self-talk and bashing others, afraid soon it will be me, and I want to get back to myself with grace and ease. Please help us. I know God is my source, and I live because of his grace and mercy.
