Holy matrimony

I am 50 years old and fiance is 35 years old. We have been engaged for the last 13 years. We have gone throgh the traditional introductions and blessings from both our parents. We are simple down to earth persons but have failed to wed because we can not afford the wedding and do not want to burden our friends or family either. How can we organise a simple wedding without financing from other people.

Our faith is surffering because of this. We live together (in sin) and have failed to have any chidren. We suspect this may be a curse. Please help. What can we do.
