Prayer for a lost husband

by Tammi
(Stoney Creek, Canada)

I love my husband dearly and only want the best for him but he is having a very difficult time right now personally and has left the marriage. He has lost God too. I keep telling him to turn around because God is right there with him but he doesn't see it yet. I hope that with many prayers he can find God again and with that find the love he once had for me. I am ready to move on if I need to but I took my marriage vows very seriously and I wish to continue my life as his wife. I am forever grateful to those who wish to pray for us. Thank you.

My husband blames God
by: Anonymous

My husband and I separated about 2 months ago but we had lost communication about 2 years ago. I have caught him talking to several different women on social media. We have been married for 13 years and I want to spend the rest of my life with him but as a Godly man. He told me I changed when I dedicated my life to God and he has not been happy since. I told him that I would pray for him but he constantly tells me not to pray because it does no good and he does not need prayer. Today he told me that prayer and God is probably what broke up our marriage. My husband was once a wonderful man that would talk about God and watch preaching on TV but now he does not want to talk about God at all. My husband is hanging around the wrong crowd and doing things he would not have done before. Please pray for him to find his way back to God.

For 15 years that we have been together, never did I imagine that we'd end up like this. a few years back, we were not communicating properly and he is always out somewhere. he has his vices that he and I can't control or he has no will to stop. it hurts to even think that he does not love us anymore. he was then a very loving husband and a father, i cannot pin point where did it go wrong. i felt so sad that my youngest child has to go through all this, it seems like he is loved less because of the broken family we have at his very young age, and he is just turning two years in a few months. i felt so alone. my husband lefy us for nothing, although people around me told me that he is not worth waiting for but i have been with him for so long and i value the vows we had at the altar. i am showing a happy facade but deep inside i am rotting. i don't know what to do anymore, i feel so bad for me and my children and i am worried because my husband is going away from God and i dont want him to be pushed to something really bad. im praying that our marriage and our family will be saved soon. Dear God, help us. In the name of your son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. with the intercession of Mama Mary and all the angels and saints. Amen.

Lost Husband
by: Jessika

My husband of 7 years just one day decided he didn't want to be married no more. Honestly out of nowhere. It hurts so bad. He was the greatest person I know. He was our sons little league coach and served in the church and always went above and beyond for us. Then one morning he just....changed. He went straight to serving me with papers and never gave me the chance to talk. I hurt so bad. I pray for his heart daily. Please help me to pray for him.

Thank you
by: Tammi

I just wanted to thank everyone for praying for my husband and I. I asked for assistance through pray about 3 years ago. And I know the prayers worked because slowly over this time my husband has returned to me. We remained close through our separation, me knowing that through your prayers God would help him find his love for me again. Well he has found a better love for me. He has turned his life around for the better. He has become a better friend, husband, father (but he was always great in that role) and companion. He lost his whole blood family during this time including father and sisters, but he is a better man because of it. Their faith led them to abandon him when all he needed was love and security. Thank you all again. The power of prayer works!

As I was reading your story all I could do is cry. Everything you said I'm going through myself. I read today on unveiled wife (I feel hopeless and alone, but God says "You are not alone". If you can read 1 King 19:9-18. Also if you are not part of unveiled wife please visit the website very encouraging wods daily. Stay around positve family & friends, stay in your word and most of all pray for him no matter what. Keep your head up & don't blame yourself. I want you to know I will be praying for your marriage! Once you choose hope, specifically hope in Christ, ANYTHING is possible. ...especially reconciliation! I'm a true believer that prayer works! Stay strong is right there with you.

Living with a stranger
by: Nikki

My husband and I have been married for a while now, and you would think that we would be use to habits, be able to talk, and love one another. Not so.....this year I decide with the help and grace of God to change somethings about myself and to focus on God in my marriage, life, job, and everything else. It has been so hard. My husband is so secretive and defensive. He's attached to his phone, and he can't keep a straight story. I love him dearly, but I'm not coping with the lies and detachment. I find comfort and strength in God 24 hours a day.

Hurt but Not Broken
by: Anonymous

My husband left us without warning on July 6th- of last year. I am still trying to figure out how to be independent, and was in agony, until I surrendered the situation to the Lord- and lay complete trust in Him. Yes, in my heart I just want Brian home again, to loving me again, but as BADLY as I desire this, I desire more for the Lord to guide me to complete His plan. I do pray for myself, my family, and others like myself. Each day, I rely on my spirit to get up and live my life.. and although my spirit is hurt, unlike my heart, it is not broken- because my spirit belongs to the Lord.

Husband in prison
by: Anonymous

My husband lost his way and his lost actions have placed him in prison. Please pray that he finds his first love and goes back home to the arms of his Heavenly Father. He is a lost son but God loves him no less, Father please place that conviction in his heart. To realize that even though his earthly father was never there for him that you will never leave him or be ashamed of him. I pray for his soul to be completely renewed and filled with your never ending love.

In Chris's name I pray.

Holy spirit
by: Anonymous

We should pray and invoke the Holy Spirit for each one of us, for each one of us greatly needs His protection and help. The more a man is deficient in wisdom, weak in strength, borne down in trouble, prone to sin, the more he should fly to Him Who is the never ceasing fount of Light, Strength, Consolation, and Holiness. please holy spirit ..enlig
"Our Lord . . . was not averse to males, for he took the form of a male, nor to females, for of a female he was born. Besides, there is a great mystery here: that just as death comes to us through a woman, life is born to us through a woman; that the devil, defeated, would be tormented by each nature, feminine and masculine, as he had taken delight in the defection of both" (Christian Combat 22:24 [A.D. 396]).

"That one woman is both mother and virgin, not in spirit only but even in body. In spirit she is mother, not of our head, who is our Savior himself—of whom all, even she herself, are rightly called children of the bridegroom—but plainly she is the mother of us who are his members, because by love she has cooperated so that the faithful, who are the members of that head, might be born in the Church. In body, indeed, she is the Mother of that very head" (Holy Virginity 6:6 [A.D. 401]).

...

"Having excepted the holy Virgin Mary, concerning whom, on account of the honor of the Lord, I wish to have absolutely no question when treating of sins—for how do we know what abundance of grace for the total overcoming of sin was conferred upon her, who merited to conceive and bear him in whom there was no sin?—so, I say, with the exception of the Virgin, if we could have gathered together all those holy men and women, when they were living here, and had asked them whether they were without sin, what do we suppose would have been their answer?" (Nature and Grace 36:42 [A.D. 415]).

In Holy Matrimony, the Holy Spirit is the one who unites spouses in love, just as the Holy Spirit is the unity between the Father and the Son.

Definitely

I am definitely praying for you and standing in agreement with this request. I am in a similar boat, my ex wife less than two months after our divorce eloped with another man when I have and still am praying she'd find God and return to me. Even though she claims to be going to church, her quick marriage is to someone of another religion (or none at all) and in a civil sense; not in a church. Ours wasn't wither but I had and still have big dreams of marrying in the Catholic Church, preferably if God's will, to her.
I know that Nothing is impossible with God; it is written several times. Let's remember that and believe God for that miracle of saving mine, and yours. God bless you!!
