Prayer for our own family

by Laura
(Dallas, Texas)

Holy Father and the Ever Blessed Mother,

You know that I have been married 3 1/2 years and that we have been trying to conceive all this time. One round of in vitro at 39 did not work and now I am 40.

The odds are more grim but I know through Christ all things are possible. I thank you for this last chance we have to do in vitro again and I pray from the very depths of my soul dear God that you will grace me with my deepest, lifelong heart's desire; to have my own children with my husband.

I pray for Maris and Marcus and I beseech you to gift us with lives spent serving You with faith and happiness and with the joy of creating a life out of our union which was started in church.

Please clear my heart, mind, body, and thoughts of any negativity and I pledge these children will grow to know, love, and serve You with a gladness of heart.

Lord, hear my prayer!

I ask these things in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

The Lord will remember us
by: Stacy

Dear friends,
God has the whole world in His hands and He created all of us with a specific plan in mind. The plan of motherhood is a gracious gift that I believe He will provide: He will listen to the prayers of the righteous. I am the product of parents who endured 18 years before seeing their first child and I still meet people who remark what a blessing I have been to their lives. God is hand-selecting the children he is placing in your lives and mine, so in the process, do not lose hope. But believe all things, hope all things because the God of love has promised to answer ALL our needs and exceed them once we put Him first. Let us not let this desire of motherhood consume us because the power of disappointment can be deeply disheartening. But rather let us rejoice to know that the Lord of Creation will 'remember' us and bless the fruit of our womb. Selah!

hope Our Lord hears our Prayers!

Dearest Laura, i hope your prayers are answered along with mine... im also 37 and having fertility treatment, my last treatment attually as money has run out, im hoping god is kind and hears my pain and answers my longing for a child. Thinking of you!

People do their part, but conception and a new life is still God's doing

Genesis 4:1 Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. (KJV)

Genesis 25:21 Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Genesis 30:22,23 Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. And she conceived and bore a son.

1 Samuel 1:27 For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.

1 Samuel 1:19,20 And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord. (KJV)

Luke1:13 But the angel said to him, Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son.
