Prayer for the Restoration of Friendship

I have been praying to the Lord with all my heart for the restoration of one of my very closest friendships for some time now, after it was attacked by the enemy and taken away utterly wrongfully. I bear no grievance against anyone, only the wholehearted desire for this to be put right and the situation forgotten as we renew our friendship.

It is only right in God for it to be restored, friendship is for life, and I'm praying with all I have for that to happen as soon as it possibly can. I can only ask God to speak to my friend, for us to talk, and for full reconciliation and restoration to come between us fully, one to one.

"Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."

When we pray to the Lord for anything, He as our Father, wants to give us that which is in our hearts. But sometimes, just like a parent, His wisdom isnt completely known to us and we are left wondering why it seems our prayers are not answered. This is where our part in it comes into play. Trust.

Trust in the Lord's wisdom and trust in his care and concern for you and your friend. He may be working on different things in each of your lives at the moment, which takes more time than you may see as fitting. A trust in God breeds patience; something we as humans often fail to realize we have an abundance of through the fruits of the Holey Spirit.

Trust that he is working for what is best for you and your friend like any good parent does; and He is the very best parent.
